Heck yea I am a country boy but I have flip flops too and never owned Cowboy hats or boots. Just live in the country and love it!!!

Living in the country does not make you a country boy, Brian.

Unless you've had an argument with your girlfriend about what brand of chew is better, you aren't a true country boy.

I love the "country" and will likely move out of the suburbs someday out to some acreage in the country (but still commutable to the city) but I refuse to become country i.e. crappy country music and cowboy boots/hats....
