Ok I think I am sold on the black Bow Tie. I really wish i could get a stock style chrome surround with no bow tie.

After seeing the the pictures of PTM surrounds and chrome ones I think the Chrome ones as stated a few postes back tie in the lights. I could never think of the words to explain this before but that comment hit the nail on the head. The painted ones sorta make the mirrors look like ears. Chrome ones and the PTM surround just looks out of place.

I think if your going red or any other colors on the grill surround the mirrors and handles must go the same color. GM seems to have done it this way. I think the other way they do it is a chrome surround and all other parts are PTM, handles, mirror caps, bumper etc?

The chrome just makes the front look a little wider.......the front end is where the GMC has it all over the Silverado in my opinion.

Well the surgery has started, removed the grille and started cutting out the factory honey comb. Just a little more grinding to do and the billet grille will be put in.

Yeah should look pretty good, I laid the billet over the honey comb before I started cutting and it looks good. Will be much better installed, I'm still waiting to hear back from the body shop on the painting.
