The popular two bucket method is used by a of of owners who wash their vehicle at home.

Here is a demonstration or two.

Frankly I wash mine at the coin op carwash or the laserwash exclusively. I've never washed mine in the driveway.

I use the 2 bucket method exclusively now. Black is so hard to keep clean and any time you go to the self-serve and use that brush you ruin the finish. If you look at the surface in the sun you'll see all the swirl marks. They are really bad on black vehicles.

I'm glad you posted this, though. I need to go back and detail the truck completely, including paint correction. I did get a little lazy this semester so I've gained some swirl marks back.

Until I do the next detail I'll go ahead and post up my old detail in the other section. Thanks for the reminder.

I use this method. The dark paint shows everything, so I am very careful

Since I started school (Sept), truck's been washed only 2 times. When I wash it at home, I use one bucket and a normal wash mitt.

No wash mit, rag, or brush will ever touch the paint on my truck. No way in hell.
