Even though there are a few mid to full size cars out there that already have more interior room than a DTS :D

But all of the ones I have driven want to be SPORT SEDANS...and I don't like the hard seats and the rough ass ride they have.
Most of them also have a lot of interior noise, which I don't like.

I want to be able to cruise down the highway, in almost total silence, for 500 to 700 miles a day... if I want to... and still feel good at the end of the day.

The only thing I have found that will do that is the MB 500 series, the BMW 7 Series and the DTS.

There may be others, but I haven't found them.
I took a 300 mile trip in a TOP LINE CTS a while back.
I won't be doing THAT again...
Rough ride and VERY UNCOMFORTABLE seats...:(

It will be a wasted effort if they are not RWD with a V8 option.

And the only bright spot for Lincoln is their rebadge of the Fusion...which while the sales are up over 31%, they have only moved 16K for the year...or under 2400 a month.

Everything else at Lincoln is a joke. They most certainly are sinking as they have been changed from a legit luxury brand to basically a trim level on a Ford.

Lincoln should have gone the way of Mercury. I don't think Ford is capable of turning the brand around.

I can agree with you there, but have you driven an Infiniti M35/M45? A little bigger/softer driving version of the G sedan. It punches the BMW 745 right in the nuts for cost/value and rides just as nice.

The M45 "IS" nice...
I drove one a couple of years ago.
I need to go check them out better... The MB 500 and the BMW 7 series is out of my price range.
Thanks for reminding me of the M45...

Wow the 2011 M56 is 420hp w/7spd auto  You could do a lot of damage on those Texas highways with that. Otherwise the M37 v6 puts out 330hp for a lot less money.

absolutly correct, plus you get the aftermarket runing support that you are accustomed to.

That is IF you dont buy american branded vehicle next.

Infiniti is nice, since it has Nissan drivelines. As far as Jap stuff goes, either Nissan or Subaru are the best ones.
