Buying car possibly :)

Ok so my friend wants me to buy his honda prelude for 3500$ he put a tonn of work into it. The only thing is im pretty tight on money because im working on my truck right now to. So i have the 3500 but He still hasnt finished working on it and it just needs to be painted. and i was wondering how much you think it might cost to paint it Candy red or blue or black haha something cool if i did buy it.

$3500 might be a little much

More details please. What model year is it? how many miles?,and what mods?

I'm thinking it might be much as well consider looking into a import forum those guys there are always changing out cars.

My paint was messed up by the first painter so it's being redone. It's two tone with the orange on the bottom. It is 2002 Prowler Pearl Orange and Ultra Gloss black on top.

These pictures are for you too a Car about the same size and judge for your self. I paid $3500 for first job that was all F-ed up. The job I am getting now is $7500. It's all about the prep and what is under the paint. Your going to pay for many hours of prep work for nice paint job. The next thing is materials, your going to pay out the ass for materials. Primers, sealers, putty, fillers and paint are not cheap for good quality stuff. Ask me how I know

The first time it went on body cart but the prep was so bad the paint was scrwed from the start and he rushed it to finish because he scrwed around doing other shit whaen should have been doing my car......in the end i had to sue him to get most of my money back.

Funny thing I knew better, had a friend of the family do it the first time and I got screwed!! If your near Little Rock I can hook you up, if your looking for a very nice job.

Is it a "Need" or a "want"....if its a want, I would pass....if you need additional transportation, then I would buy it, but two project's at the same time, has never worked, unless you have deep pockets!!

Doesn't sound like something I'd spend $3500 on. Imports like that tend to be driven pretty hard. Personally I'd hate to spend much on a paint job for a car like that. If you buy it maybe Maaco it.
