Buying car possibly :)

Ok so my friend wants me to buy his honda prelude for 3500$ he put a tonn of work into it. The only thing is im pretty tight on money because im working on my truck right now to. So i have the 3500 but He still hasnt finished working on it and it just needs to be painted. and i was wondering how much you think it might cost to paint it Candy red or blue or black haha something cool if i did buy it.

not sure how much it would cost... but I would stick with the truck and not buy that... Keep one project at a time..

A paint job would probably be from 3000-6000, depending on the quality and how much time and effort they put into getting the minor details. But that would probably just be basic colors, candy paint job I'm not sure how much.

$3500 might be a little much

More details please. What model year is it? how many miles?,and what mods?

Depends on the paint job. If you want a good quality one you are looking at $3, or better, if you go candy add another $2k on top. I was going to do the impala in a candy color but when they told me it would cost an extra $3K I just stuck with the base coat clear coat finish.

I say pass, one project at a time like Mark said.

thanks for the responses, and yea some of the mods are air intake, uhh he has a new radiator, body kit, 700$ sound system sounds good i think its a JL and a 12 in sub didnt get to see the brand, umm he has a new exhaust he hasnt even put on yet, HID's, there called smoke lights? in the back, some small engine mods, s key card security system(james bond shit), new 17in rims and tires bought 2 weeks ago! he hasnt even put on he paid 1500$ for the rims and tires nad he hasnt used them. and the car just rolled over 210km

So the sound system and wheels are worth more than the car? I say pass unless you need a good gas mileage driver.

Well he just wants a truck really bad. I dont think the kid is to bright to be honest... his girlfriend told him hes crazy for selling it for an old truck hahaha.
