Buying a come along/cable puller

That is the come along I have. Pretty handy when a truck is mildly stuck (like barely to the axle) and it will be a while before you can pull it out. I prefer the chain ones though.

+1 on the chain come alongs. Every cable come along I've used has always gotten tangled up or the cable comes unraveled on the spool and makes a mess

I have used some from Harbor freight and they were trash. My boss had one that he said he got from the military when he was in the army. It was really heavy duty. The handle came off just like a floor jack. We used it to move a 48 foot shipping container about 8 feet. It had no problem getting that big container to slide over.
