The original Ford guy around here
Back again from the busy living, with quite an update. I traded my truck for a new vehicle, check it out.

Alright I'll be serious. I seen a black '07/'08 Lariat Supercrew on my local dealer lot last week, looked like a chrome pkg truck and thats only available on Lariats of that year. I asked to go look at it for kicks and it was. '07 Lariat, black on black.
I left and kept looking at it the next couple days. Thursday May 5th I went and requested more info on it after my '04s front right caliper piston seized on me. I let them check my truck out and they quoted me $10,500 trade in as it was, and with 108k miles.
Friday May 6th I went and requested if I could take it for a day if I put down money and left my '04. They let me have it until closing time 6pm but that was plenty of time to drive it some, enjoy its features and look it over with a fine tooth comb.
Took the truck back at 5:30 and I decided that I liked it a lot, pending a copy of carfax, previous owner and maintenance history report, I put $100 down to hold it for me. At this point the '04 cried.
I Cleaned the '04 on Sat and had my goodbye time and final videos, put the stock wheels on it Sunday. Also removed custom tune and PHP programmer. Monday was signing and finance pending. They took $500 off of my trade value because I took off the M/Ts. Stockers were quite bald so I knew it was going to happen. Finally on Tuesday we made the deal and I got the new truck. Very happy.
So far, I love the truck. I swear it sat more than it has been driven. I believe it was a mid aged guy who had it before me, used it for trips and such. Full maintenance history, no dents or dings, no deep scratches. A super clean carpet, rich leather smell. I love it. I barely miss the '04 at all. Matter of fact it was becoming problem prone and I always hated the XLT interior. The downside is its got 70k miles but it does not even show, it is semi-high miles but the deal I was able to get made it worth it and the much more improved truck I got out of the deal has me highly satisfied. I haven't used my truck bed since I hauled Mulch last summer so the downsize to the 5'5 bed isn't a bother really. I actually like the hard tonneau on it. I never liked those but it looks great on this truck. Dealership did the chittiest detail though and I told them that. My exact words were "This was fully detailed? Looks like a spider webbed the heck out of it last night", she gots swirls
Nothing I cant fix
.
More pics to come, oh, and mods, I can't offend you folks with my stock truck, Jeff ( Carolinaboy ) is pissed off enough that its stock
I am enjoying it though, nice and quiet, smooth riding. I'm ordering Weathertech DigiFit mats tonight, and 20% tint kit next week. That will be it for a little as far as mods go, I really do enjoy it how it currently sits.
