Still Here Because I'm Not There
I went in this morning and finished up the deal on the new Ram. Went pretty well and I am really happy with the new truck. Already put 130+ miles on it today, hasn't even used 1/4 of a tank of fuel yet (I know the guage is not a good estimate of fuel economy).
It is a 2010 Ram 1500 4x4 Quad Cab ST, Hemi, 3.92 Limited Slip gears, Chrome Pkg, Tow Pkg, ST Preferred Pkg, etc. Deal went smooth and the dealership did a pretty good job. The only thing I was not happy with was their pre-delivery detail. I refused their $1300 "Desert Protection Package" wax job, so I think they had some 5 year old hose it down on the back lot. It looked ok when I got it, but as I drove it today, I noticed the hood looked really dingy. When I got home, I rinsed it and waxed it real quick, and there was a thick layer of reddish black "soot" covering the truck (probably rail dust?). Waxing it seems to have gotten most of it, I may detail it a little better before snow falls. Anyway, so I don't get banned, I better get on to the pictures:
Once I got mine bought, I went and helped my mom get herself a new car too. She has had some problems getting around on the dirt roads here with her car (09 Mitsubishi Galant), so she wanted a 4x4 SUV. We found a NEW 09 Kia Borrego in Santa Fe that they were really trying to move, so I went and helped her work out a deal on it. She ended up getting it, and her payments actually went down, so she was happy. The Borrego looks like this (not actually the one she bought):
