Body Lift GMT800

Well now that ive leveled my truck i want to put a 3" body lift on so it would basically be the same setup as my old truck 2" leveling kit + 3" body lift for a 5" lift and then run 285/75/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers, around 17x9" Black and machined moto metal 951's.

i would also be adding a 3" block in the rear to give me another .75" lift so it would be a 5" front lift and 5.75" rear lift for under $900

the kit is $385 from performance accessories from work and doesnt look too bad to do, i would obviously get the gap guards and the im pretty sure it comes with rear bumper relocation brackets but if it doesnt then i would buy those too, and keep the nerf bars on to hide the frame as well,

my old truck is in my signature in the car domain for a comparision on the (5") lift on my new truck. it is almost excatly the same other than it is a gmt-400 but i had 285's on there too

I've never been a body lift fan myself. If you are gonna lift it, I'd go suspension... but that's just me.

i know but i dont want to spend $1500 on just a lift before rims or tires, and i still want to fit in the garage and this will be perfect

I gotta say Cody, I like how your truck is now, and I was impressed that you had stayed with the direction you had gone with this truck.

Body lifts can look damn near invinsible on a gmt 800 if done correctly. So I kinda like them.


If your worried about fitting in your garage, then i would do the body lift and hide it.

i meanmy first choice would obviously be a 6" suspension lift but i dont have the money and my old truck nobody could tell at all, unless you knew what to look for, i dont do things half ass so it would be done right, my old truck was the perfect height, and if done right is perfectly fine i think, i just need a little more height

Don't waste your money on the PA gap guards. For less than 1/4 their price you can have much better quality and custom fit gap guards. Give me a minute, i'll find the part numbers of the materials to order.
