Ok, I'm ready to take the plunge, and have Justin work his magic and I have a few questions.
1. What all options are available for the octane levels? also do you have to run that octane of fuel all the time, or will that just get you the optimum performance.

2 Also I have the vette servo, and what shift firmness would you reccomend for a nice shift not too firm.
My options are:

  • Stock
  • Standard - Slightly firmer at light to mid-throttle, moderately firmer at heavy throttle
  • Firm - Noticably firmer shifts across the board
  • Very Firm
  • Other
3. I see most go with 75% torque management removed, I think this is the route I want to go also, but I don't want to do any undo harm to my drivetrain. But from what I gather it's all about how you drive it, is that correct?

Any other little tweaks that you guys have and would reccomend for me are welcome too.

PS I have the 350 with a 4L60e trans.

Thanks in advance

Frankly, I'd put myself in Justin's hands if I were you. He's done so many of these that he knows exactly what setup will work for your truck.

Honestly, tell Justin what you expect. How you drive and he will do the rest. I got tired of trying to understand all the things that he is able to change. Just leave it to him and trust me, you will be very happy.

well I kinda wondered about that too dennis, but Matt said he had some removed, and it's on the survey they sent me, but I don't know if it's a generic survey or not.

Yeh Jim, I'm going to send a list of my questions to Justin also, just wanted your guys input too

I don't think you have torque management... :dunno:

I'm not sure what all is available on the 400s. I'd assume the only thing engine related would be fuel tables. The distributor prevents any timing changes (unless there's something I'm missing). Don't know how much you can gain with higher octanes because of that. For transmission shifting, I'd go with standard. I like the softish (still alot firmer than stock) with light throttle and firm shifts when getting on it (will chirp the tires shifting to 2nd). Torque management is when the computer kills timing right before, during, and after shifting. Like previously stated, with your distributor I doubt this is happening in your truck since timing is controlled mechanically instead of electronically. Justin will make it exactly like you want after a few quick questions. He's also really quick to e-mail back if you ask him anything.

Make sure to tell him about all mods to the engine, trans and or wheel/ tire size changes. I still have no idea what was changed but I can tell you that I am pleased.
