:uhoh:Well truck has been sitting a while since I broke my ankle. Went to start it today and it just clicked. Bttery will charge but won't hold it long. I think its about time for a new on. I've had the truck for 7 years and it is the battery that was in it when I bought. Don't know how old it is either because the date thingy was never punched. The battery is a Duralast, I think with that kind of performance record i"m gonna get another one!

I highly recommend the Duralast batteries. Made by Johnson Controls, the same folks that make the Die Hard, and one of the better products that Autozone sells.

I just got an Autocraft Gold from Advance Auto for my truck. 800 CCA and an 84 month warranty (4 years free replacement) for $90 out the door.

Bought my last three (two in my truck, one in the g/f's) at Costco. Again, made by Johnson Controls, great price, good warranty (84 month), and no complaints.

Yep, I have said the exact same thing before. One of the very few things I'll buy at Autozone. I've bought 2 so far for 2 differant vehicles, and they are still working fine one of them is at least 4 years old, and other is close to 6 and its in a vehicle that sits for 4 months, and still cranks to hell and back to get fuel to the carb and starts it right up everytime after sitting for 4 months.

I also had a Duralast in my '99. It was seven years old and still going strong when I got in the wreck.

I just got a Duralast Gold for my '96, due to the great warranty, it's 8 years, the first 4 are a free replacement no questions asked, and after that it's prorated, so if they had that warranty when you bought yours, you may still get somethings
