I have no comment for this BS besides Nascar aint what it used to be. You can't compare him to dale and richard
I hear what you're sayin' but, a lot of folks don't think you could compare Richard to Dale. The sport has changed, more than I care for but it has changed. Whether we like it or not, 30 years from now JJ's accomplishment will looked upon as an amazing run. He will be in the HOF, no doubt about that, even if he stopped driving right now.

I haven't followed NASCAR all that much in recent years except to watch my picks! I liked the sport back when teams built their own cars from the ground up according to NASCAR rules (not that many years ago) and tried to fudge a bit here and there. This car of tomorrow bullshit has ruined the deal for me... along with Big E's death.

I really doubt it will ever be able to hold my attention again.

You don't have to wheel a car like back in those days. No doubt it will go down in history but to me always and forever cale winning three in a row is wayyyy more impressive. And honestly this whole chase crap is ridiculous its not a true championship its winning a 10 race stretch.

I agree 100% with both of you. JJ isn't my driver at all, mine drove his last race in 2001 and the sport IMO has gone in the crapper ever since. But that's just my opinion.

I wouldn't mind him so much if it was earned. But it just leaves me with a pissed off feeling because he doesnt deserve it.

If it was under old point Jeff gordon would have 2004, 2005 tony stewart, 2006 jimmie, 2007 jeff, 2008 jimmie 2009 carl edwards and 2010 kevin harvick.....

That would show the true drivers jimmie would have TWO. not FIVE

If the world was flat, people would fall of the edge... but it's not.

JJ played the game according to the rules in place and he won. Sitting around speculating "what if" the rules were different is just bullshit.

I'm not a fan of the new point system but he won fair and square.

Go Harvick!

Oh wait, it's over! Dammit! :jester:

JJ is "ok", but some times you want to slap the attitude right off his face! At least I do:thumbs:

I get tired of seeing the same thing all the time whether it be Jimmie or Kyle or who ever it is winning week after week. I used to watch it with a passion but now that it has been Jimmie winning year after year hell sunday went and gone and I didnt even realize it was homestead.
