Anyone replace their HID bulbs yet?

I read somebody's post about the 9005s getting moister in the lenses without the ring gaskets, so I made sure I put them in my lows...

i would say ballast for the issue you are getting to eliminate it switch bulbs side to side and see if it follows the bulb.

i have spare bulbs and have never had to use them, my service truck takes a beating and they have been trouble free since i got raptor ballasts.

When I installed them, they already had the proper O-ring on them. At the time, I double checked through my install thread. Plus they came with the extra ring with them and the one that was on the 9005 was a different color than the 9006's.

Tomorrow, I'll move the bulb to a different ballast and another bulb to that ballast to make sure.

Yes, you can change the bulbs and keep the same ballast.

Yep, the ballasts are all the same (just either 35w or 55w) and the bulbs decide the color temp.


Well this morning I drove the truck and turned them on and the bulb in question turned on just fine. Go figure. I'll see what it does tonight after work.

Probably the ballast, or a bad connection somewhere.

I'm definitely confused now.

The bulb worked fine Friday night after work and today when I used them once.

For now I'm just going to leave everything alone.
