Looking to buy a spring compressor set for my upcoming suspension redo. Anybody have a preference as far as type or recommendations on where to buy?

:dunno:

Another vote for renting (well, borrowing, really) from the local parts joint.

He's lowering Fred 3/5, Jenna!

We borrowed the one from Autozone to do the springs on my buddy's Miata, worked great. And was free.

I typically like to buy quality tools. Renting some POS from a parts house just doesn't tweak me.

I hear you, but you're talking about a spring compressor, not an air compressor.

Spend your money however you'd like, I just figured a lowlife car-buyer would need to be a little more frugal.

You want to buy one when the free ones work great?! Thats hardcore Jim. You afraid you will loose them and they'll keep your deposit? Lol

The ones you rent/borrow are usually beat to hell, that much I will tell you.

I had Midas do mine for 25 bucks. The one capable of compressing the GMT900 springs was 800 bucks at the time I did mine.
