Well if your fluid meets spec you shouldn't have a problem.

David, as long at the transmission was well serviced and the fluid is still pink and not brown there shouldn't be any issues. I have changed out a few over 100k miles on the transmissions with with the fluid being as stated above and they continued on with no issues.

The only time it will cause issues is when your transmission is worn to crap, and ran forever on burnt fluid... It's not so much the synthetic fluid that causes the issue... It's all the bits and pieces of transmission that are floating around helping it still work that get flushed out that causes the problem...

I have never serviced my wifes transmission and it just broke 100k miles. But the fluid is still bright pink and doesn't smell burnt at all. Is the ATF a suitable replacement for the Nissan K-Matic fluid? :dunno:

My fluid is pink/red color. What will synthetic do to the one check ball that sticks at times? I have 130K

Well I got it all done finally late last night. I have all the pics on my job camera I'll upload and post em up this PM. I got every thing except the flush set up and flush itself. Now I got to do this to the '96 as well as replace both oil cooler lines.

Also I wanted to add that if you are doing this for the first time, don't use a big jug of tranny fluid as I did. It made keeping track of how much I was putting in difficult.
