Been a while since I posted. Hadnt really had anything to post until now.

As some of you know I drive a service truck in the oil patch. 90% of my work is in the field. About two/three years ago I bought a Ir 2135ti max 1/2in impact. It was oiled and greased regularly.

I started having trouble with it a few weeks ago so I had our part department send it an Ir service center. It was under warranty. However they called yesterday and said that it wouldn't be covered due to lack of lubrication.

Long story shorter what do you guys use for oiling your air tools? I thought about getting one if those inline oilers but I don't want to dedicate my only hose real to oil as I use it for other purposes too.

But apparently I wasn't lubing it enough.

Thoughts?

At work we use some stuff called CatOil. Rarely have any issues with air tools so I guess it's ok.

Just about any lighter oil will be fine. I used ATF for years and wrenched for a living. I swear by IR air tools I have a couple 2131s that I bought in 92 and used them every day for 12 years and have passed one onto my son who is now a tech. Never been rebuilt once.

Marvel air tool oil is what we use now. I supply it to my guys in the shop

I heard marvel swells orings unless you use the one that's meant for air tools.

That the one you use?

Edit. Oops missed the first part of the sentence.
