Go to autozone and have the codes pulled...
Write down the code and then post it here.
It may be something other than the clockspring.

They cant do it since its a OBDI.

There is a way to make the car show you the codes...
There is a sequence of turning the ignition off and on and it will cause the CHECK ENGINE light to blink in a sequence that you can count and then you decipher the codes that way.

You can also use a paper clip in the port. I just don't remember how to do it. It's been a long time since I've had an OBDI.
