I have a airbag light on been like that since 2008 when I first got the car. How hard is it to readjust the clock spring under the steering wheel? I was told that GM cars were famous for air bag lights cause of the clock spring needs readjusted from turning the wheel back and forth.

Go to autozone and have the codes pulled...
Write down the code and then post it here.
It may be something other than the clockspring.

Electrical tape...fixes those dang lights every time.

For more comprehensive airbag diagnostics, drive at a high rate of speed and point the car at a fixed object. If the airbag deploys upon impact, it was ok...if it does not, you might want to have that checked out further. :jester:

I think there is a way to make the car show you the codes...
There is a sequence of turning the ignition off and on and it will cause the CHECK ENGINE light to blink in a sequence that you can count and then you decipher the codes that way.

You can also use a paper clip in the port. I just don't remember how to do it. It's been a long time since I've had an OBDI. :dunno:
