Update.

After spending some time with this unit I still really like it. It has a lot of advantages to the factory head unit and a few to the factory nav unit. Sound being one of those.

That being said, I don't see enough advantage over the factory nav to keep this one. The main reason I wanted it was for the iPod/iPhone connectivity, but I can get that with the GMX550 lock pick and retain my factory unit.

So, I'm handing this unit back to Matt and going to help him sell it. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll shoot you a pm.

It's a great looking unit, but I found them a little thin on audio quality. Seems like they spent all of their money on gizmos and forgot about the audio...

When I install my Fosgate 360 processor, I may just go ahead and do the lockpick. I was simply going to do the iPod through the aux on the 360, put it would be nice to see the filenames on the screen.

I think the 360 will doll up the sound near the quality of the Advent. At least, that is the dream I am living in. :jester:

One thing is for certain; I have yet to ride in ANYBODY's rig with an OEM or aftermarket headunit that has the quality of the GM Bluetooth for the phone. People still think I am talking on a handset. That is so nice, since I am on it so much for business.
