My burb is at 245,000 right now,I might be doing this soon

I guess it just depends on how many times its been started and shut off???

BTW did you check for any shorted wires at the starter? Just a thought.

Well don't worry your self it was a short in the starter! I guess i own a starer eater. I think the guy that traded it in said he put one on it a year before he traded it in. So i guess every 3-4 years it gets a starter!

Now do you want the great news? .........It's low on antifreeze! So I'm thinking it may need the intake gaskets done?! But before i go takeing the intake off I'm going to check all the other goodies. (Water pump, hoses, and radiator) no biggy if i have to put intake gaskets in I've done them before. Just don't want to!

Oh well I'll keep you informed!

Congrats on solving the starter issue

I hate coolant leaks Be sure to check the carpet below the heater core area

A radiator pressure tester can be a big help here,Autozone might have them for rent

Well sence i filled it up it has not leaked or gone down? So ill just keep an eye on it and go from there? Lol!

Yep that my thought also. And yep 5.7 vortec. I had to put them in my 97 silverado when i had it.

Luckily it's not TOO bad of a job. Would be nice if it was just a seeping hose or something though.

Yeah i love it to be a hose instead of intake gaskets!
