It sounds like the guys tuning it restored a previous base tune, and probably didn't remove torque management. That would be the lag when you hit the gas and the loss of the 1-2 kick.

I agree with everone here.... I don't have EFI Live.. but I would imagine it would be able to take care of your speedo problems...

And based on every here's testimonials I would go with Justin!

EFI Live has transmission parameters HP tuners cannot replicate. It is very possible your still missing some things.
At this point I would move to a different tuner and get a street or data log tune.
