Looks great! These are the little things that really make the truck special. For the average person who sees it, they will never know that it wasn't made that way from the factory. For those who do know that it didn't come that way, most probably won't understand the amount of time and work that went into making the details come to life. Good work!

Sharp eyes at car shows will notice. Those are the people I appreciate. Who cares about the normal people?

Yes, you are very correct, they are the ones that will nod in approval or turn and walk after one look. I should know I'm one of them. I should have gone to school for paint and body then worked in that industry. because the first thing I see when looking at any car (custom show cars included) are the flaws. Then I always have to take a step back and look at the rest as a package and take it or leave it. :dunno: just the way I'm wired.

LOL Yeah I know what you mean, the problem is they are the most opinionated ones...... LOL but no really most of my family and friends are the quote on quote normal ones so they always chime in with crap & then get mad when I say if I have to explain it then you obviously will never get it...

Thanks everyone, I'll post more as soon as I can. I haven't been feeling well lately and kinda burned out on the project. So I just took a week or so off from it, but I'll be getting back to it real soon. A friend of mine made the trip over the mountains (from Seattle, 250 miles) last weekend and he is also a paint and body guy, so he was giving me some pointers and products to help along the way. He also gave me more work to do....

...lol but I did ask him to look it over and pick my work apart and tell me what to do redo or do better, because now is the time to fix it. So some of my updates here soon might feel like we have already "been there, done that". But oh well it's just part of getting better at this, I don't do it for a living he does, so I knew there were going to be some do-overs along the way.

Well after a needed break away from the project, got back to it yesterday. I cleaned up the shop put everything back in order & then continued the spot welding on the tail gate. About 300 spot welds later I called it a night. So about another 900 spot welds to go and the tailgate mods will be done. Hope to be posting pic’s of it finished soon.
