So...

Tell me about 5th wheel hitches.

Brands?

Slider?

Auto-slider?

Looking at a 16.5K GVWR, 2900lb pin.

Don't judge me. :D

Always get the biggest hitch you can, lol.

Most people I know, don't use the slider much, if at all... But I imagine, it probably comes in handy now and then.

Reese/Curt/DSP are the way to go...

Curt/DSP look to be more heavy duty than Reese.

A 20k hitch will be more than enough... Next step down for most brands is 17k.... Not enough overhead, lol.

I wish I had done more research. I bought on a whim, and had to do something. Fast.

If I had to do it all over again, I would not have bought a slider. The cuts on the front of my 5er don’t really require it for 90% of maneuvwrs. I have used it once for a sharp jackknife park job. Still, I would not do it over.

I would get a B&W, the heaviest mofo I could afford. I say this because now I want a heavier trailer

did you you have factory prep to start with or did you start from scratch? also, remind me...what are you currently towing gvwr/pin weight wise?
