2900lbs is well within the payload specs of the truck... Don't worry about something so light, lol.
Unless you're getting a trailer with a lot of nose, you don't _need_ a slider.
Go the option that doesn't mess up loading the bed too much... And also gives you the option for a gooseneck attachment if you need it, later on.
If forgot about B&W with the pucks, when I bought my DSP setup, lol. But my rails will let me load drywall in the back without hurting anything.
