Hey Ivan! I bet there will be a ton more info out there by the time you get ready to buy. The reviews should be rollling in this summer, on both of those, especially the guys towing RV trailers with the 6.

Hey Scott, how are you liking the 6.0 6-speed combo?

I like it! She's a gazguzzling slut when pulling, but it feels and sounds great with the mods :jester:

Really? That bad huh?

Haha, not too bad, I only say that because I pulled a 10,000 lb trailer about 300 miles, and I got into the Cascades on some steep grades and saw it drop as low as 7 :rollin: She did great, though.

7 isn't bad at all under those conditions.

I flew past a truck like Scott's yesterday on the interstate. Was a CC 6.0 pulling a ~30' fifth wheel up a fairly steep grade. He was probably holding 65 or so, which was impressive, but he was in my way, so I blew by him at about 90.......

I saw a info-mercial thing about the ecoboost and it amazed me! i want it! they simulated 150,000 miles on a dyno then put it the a truck and beat the fWonk out of it then put it in a pre-runner and beat the fWonk out of it some more in the desert

You betcha
OK, so just drove both trucks this weekend with a buddy. Drove a 4wd ecoboost with 3.73 gears. It made almost zero engine noise....lol my dad would love this truck. Just not for me though it had no character. Power was lacking low in the RPM range we turned traction control off and stood on it and it definitely needed to build some boost before the rear end would break loose a bit.
The 5.0 4wd with 3.55 was waaaay different. Really enjoyed that truck....I mean I would totally get one if I were in the market for one. It had such an amazing rumble and it toasted the rear tires without stalling it up at all. It only really fell on it's face on the highway which I think is a tuning issue. Definitely could feel the torque management holding it back.
The mileage on both trucks was outstanding. These trucks had like 12 miles on them and the instant economy numbers while we were driving were crazy good. Good times were had that's for sure.

Very cool! I have read good things about the 5.0

The EcoBoost infovids/tests from Ford we were all watching a few months ago were cool, but I was waiting for the impressions from folks who actually drove them
