Hey Ivan! I bet there will be a ton more info out there by the time you get ready to buy. The reviews should be rollling in this summer, on both of those, especially the guys towing RV trailers with the 6.

Ecoboost is interesting and probably gets 3 or 4 mpg better in real world driving. That might be something to consider in the world of 5 buck gasoline.

I would probably want an EcoBoost, but it would depend on what trim level/options you are wanting otherwise. I have tried building some F 150's online, and it seems to me that the EcoBoost is not available in the lower trims, then in the mid-level trims it requires other options that bump the cost WAY above the $750 they tout over the 5.0 ($1000 option). The 5.0 is available in almost all trims/configurations, and other than gears, doesn't require anything else to order.

That 5.0 looks real good on that dyno sheet.

I mean the ecoboost is a great example of what DI and boosting can achieve. But that 5.0 is a freaking monster.

As previously stated though I would not mind driving an F150 with any of fords new engines. They always had the weakest engine lineup(IMO) but now it seems to me like the have the best engine selection.

Hey Scott, how are you liking the 6.0 6-speed combo?

Yeah, I'm thinking it might be easier to void your factory warranty on the ecoboost than the 5.0 with simple mods.

I like it! She's a gazguzzling slut when pulling, but it feels and sounds great with the mods :jester:
