Right motor. Wrong car
I've driven a V8 Miata. One from Monster Miatas that had a Ford 5.0 in it. It belonged to a friend who is Service Manager at the Mazda store. Straight line was fun, but the handling was not all that pretty. As with most tiny cars with a shoehorned V8 in the nose, it pushed like a high speed dumptruck on gravel. Miatas with a 4 are about the most perfectly balanced sports car I have ever owned.
Jackson Racing superchargers or Turbos are the way to go.

But, a Miata? Those things are so tiny, sit low, and could be a really gnarly death trap
I guess i just don't feel safe in anything smaller than a F/S truck![]()
