Yeah this blue truck is luck to hit 300 miles on a tank so I go through a fill up or 5 a week.

My diesel could easily get 450-500+ miles on a tank depending on the driving and on the same amount of fuel...

That also came with an enormous price tag on the truck. Yours is probably paid for. I'll pay for fuel in a paid off gasser any day.

Actually, mine is a diesel too, and while the truck is paid off (bought it for cash), the wife informed me last week that she's still making payments on the loan she took to buy the darn thing four years ago. That will get paid off as soon as we do our taxes this year.

Well, the loan wasn't only for the truck. It was also to cover our moving expenses when we bought the house. We'd gotten along fine with just the wife's truck before that because she didn't need it to get to work. At the new place she needs it to drive to the train station 6 miles away so we decided to get me my own truck.
