Well, I see I'm not the only one this price increase will affect. I've been paying over $100 a week for gas as it is. These prices will not make me get rid of my truck, but I may have to quit my taxi and school bus services. 
I think it's crazy that places like Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, etc, pay less than $1.00 a gallon.

It justifies the higher cost for diesel over gas but not the payment difference.

Why don't you make them pay for your gas? That's the least they can do if they expect you to drive them around. In the case of the kids, let their parents pay. Responsibility shouldn't be disappear just because someone is broke.
