2012 Chrysler 300 review

Nice write up Dave!

Did this 300 have the new 8 speed auto? I am guessing "yes" since you said 32 mpg on the hwy. My wife's Avenger with the 3.6 gets about 30 on the hwy with the 6 speed auto, but runs like a scalded cat since it weighs lots less than the 300.

i think 6. didn't shift a lot in my opinion but i didn't think the 12 had it so i didn't look for odd shifting. the 32 was just cruising no AC. probably would not have sustained that with the way i drive but i wanted to see what a controlled driver could get.

i drove it about 57 miles from fill up to fill up on the highway. same station was used. that is how i got the mileage.. sorry i cant give more info Wayne.

Great write up Dave, my next door neighbor just got a brand new one. Not sure if it's a '12 or '13 but it looks just like this one. They love it, I was pretty impressed with the keyless entry system.

I looked at the Chrysler page, and it looks like the 8 speed is standard on all 12 models with the v6, so that is probably what it was. Good to know it didn't shift all the time!
