Needs moar SFA. Fawk this IFS stuff. It's a Jeep.

Properly built IFS is better than SFA :jester:

I can't quite go along with that. No crawler competition I have ever seen was won by an IFS rig. Not a single one.

I think both can be made to work, but when the wheeling gets serious, give me two solid axles please.

Okay... Except maybe in rock crawling

All those fancy Baja desert racers are IFS, aren't they? :dunno:

Yeah... if you call hauling ass through mainly sandy roads off roading. That suspension is mainly set up for jumping. Offroad point A to point B racing is pretty specialized stuff. Serious offroaders I know and read about prefer solid axles and articulation. Offroading is generally not about speed or jumping stuff.

They also get a whole lot more money in their budget than most people do when it comes to building things...

SFA winds hands down for price vs. durability

Sandy? Truck boulders, shell rock, cliffs, you name it. Just more than sand buddy boy. Suspension is setup for hours of shocks heating up and cooling down while you have a 12.5 batch of tire making contact with the ground at speeds off 120MPH. Offroading is about getting out and having fun, point blank. You will not find a more tight group of people that will pull over and help you than just keep driving.

Point is those trucks are set up for speed over terrain. It's completely opposite of the normal offroader's experiences 4 wheeling. I know you guys get woodies for these offroad racers, but comparing them to normal weekend wheelers is not even close. Those are specific use vehicles designed to do one thing. It's like comparing Rally Cars to Nascar. Both have a purpose but neither would be worth a shiz on the other's turf.

For the record. I love those SCORE trucks. They are simply badass at what they do.

At least Jeep doesn't offer a 2WD Wrangler - YET. Any proper Jeep should have 4WD. It's just wrong not to.

Most of the guys racing are weekend warriors, just majority of people see the high dollar cars as they get all the action and attention. Now many promotoers offer rock crawlers to compete in racing and they have a class. which is super cool to see dual purpose rigs out their competing for they saem prize. I have been trying to find a older chevy to build up for trails and chasing in the pits, have the best of both worlds.
