Mine is a 1/2 ton. And I figured why its apart I would replace it sense it has 200,000 miles on it. The most I will be pulling is my two place snowmobile trailer.
Yeah you will be really happy with 4.56. It won't spin too fast on the highway. I think with 35's and 4.56 it will be similar RPM to my factory size tires and 3.73, maybe a little faster.
Yeah that is what I'm planning on going with on mine eventually. Even though it's not a true "locker" they're supposed to be pretty good. No clutches either and overall a pretty simple design which I like.
These tires are a little worn but only rubbed the back of the plastic fender well liner at almost full lock. You can ziptie the fenderwell back, cut the plastic or let it self clearance.
My torsion bars are not cranked, no BL either. If it rubs on the bumps I have no affliction to using a grinder/sawzall/big hammer to make room. I will probably either remove or relocate E brake cable mount. This truck will be used for mud drags/bogs. And yes its the same paint scheme as my DD in sig.
