Another thing, be prepared to buy a new 34" core radiator. I would not use your V6 radiator, or the one off his truck since it's been wrecked and appears to be leaking.
Then it will be easy to swap to electric 05-06 fans in the future if you already have the 34" radiator installed.![]()

If it looks like the front has been wrecked it's just because it has been stripped. The truck hit a high median on the interstate and the front tire hit first and the rest of the truck followed. One of his friends took the coolant reservoir off and spilled coolant everywhere.. The truck started, idled, drove in reverse and forward before that. I wish I could spend the money on a rebuild while I have it out but I don't have it.. I'd throw a 6.0 in it if I had the money. If a gasket blows later I'm just gonna have to deal with it when it happens..

At the least, pull the head covers and inspect for sludge. Replace the plug and wires, and check the condition of the knock sensors and wiring harness. Also check the casting on the heads, see of you see 706 on them. The castech heads are prone to crack and cause a coolant leak.
