Sounds like you'll just have to get that truck up on jack stands and drop the transmission through the bottom...

I'll try my best! Having the truck next to mine to steal parts off of is gonna help a lot. I enlisted help from my brother in law.. He's a certified GM mechanic and he has a frame lift in his shop that I need. I'm gonna be paying for the parts Friday but my BIL isn't gonna get time away from work till two weeks from now.

Looks like you will need an engine cover, and a stock intake tube. Eff that eBay intake. :puke:
I still have my stock intake tube if you want it. But you'd have to pay for shipping or else wait till next time I come down that way. Probly in November or so.

Also, while you have it out, I would replace as many engine gaskets as you can. Valve covers, intake gaskets, oil pan gasket, etc. and the rear main seal if you separate the transmission from the engine.
It's cheap insurance against leaks on a 14 year old engine.
And you will need to redo the AC as well. The compressor and lines are different on a V6 versus a V8. So be prepared to reclaim (or just vent) the refrigerant, and install the V8 AC lines and compressor and then have the system vacuumed and recharged when it's all buttoned back together. If you have enough money, I'd replace the lines with new ones, and install a new orifice tube and new drier. Hell, get a new compressor too if you have the cash, especially if it's the original one from 2001. You could bypass the AC for now if money is really tight, but replacing the compressor after the engine is installed will be much more of a pain in the ass, although still do-able.

Another thing, be prepared to buy a new 34" core radiator. I would not use your V6 radiator, or the one off his truck since it's been wrecked and appears to be leaking.
Then it will be easy to swap to electric 05-06 fans in the future if you already have the 34" radiator installed.
