too bad they arn`t 2011`s, after seing the 2011`s new front bumper it just really makes those later models bumpers stand out. badly. :puke:

hope they stand up for you! :)

The way our guys treat equipment the bumpers won't see summer anyway.

P.S. The fact that they're 2010's and were priced accordingly is the only reason we have them.

no i totally understand.

should get bullet proof bumpers. :naughty:

Bullet proof does not equal iron worker proof. In fact I don't believe they have found any materials yet that are iron worker proof.

Proof positive last time I pulled on a job site guys are doing something shady so I see what's up. They're using the snap caps for our nail guns (small black powder loads) and seeing how many they can get to go off at once by putting them under the ground on a welder and striking an arc. Final count was about 20 which blew the ground clamp to pieces so I had to get them a new one and put a new clamp on theirs.

 Nice!

Hopefully your roads are better up there, down here the oil field trucks can't keep service beds on them...the welds around the hinges start tearing out within a few years.

I guess we'll see how that goes if either one lasts that long this time. These trucks are DD's for the foreman so most of their driving is on public roads and highways so that should be fine but that small percentage on the job sight loaded to the hilt with tools and welders could be what gets them. On the bright side if it's only a broken weld they will fix it before I ever hear about it. Won't be pretty cause we don't do that snakeskin TIG stuff but I'd put money on it holding.

The only reason I'm excited about this is one of these is replacing my favorite truck that a foreman has right now. The infamous 8.1 w/ 6 speed manual might be coming back to be my shop truck again.
 Got any pics of this one?

Those look like a very nice score there Ian!

No pics of that one but it should be back at the shop in a week or two whenever we get the new trucks tooled up. It was the old mans when it was new so hopefully he doesn't take it back now. It looks pretty much like every other beat up 2500 HD out there internals are the only thing that make it special.
