No, not yet. I am trying to get the guy to pull that transmission for $250. If not, I just might go with a refurbished/rebuilt transmission that I might rather have. It's priced a little higher but it might be worth it.
What history does that tranny have? I can't see a 4L60 with 170k on it having too much life left in it. Are all model years interchangeable?
I'm pretty sure this is the same transmission used from 88-99 and it might be more transitional than that. I could be wrong but I'm mainly looking for transmissions in the 97-99 year model range.
The transmission with 170k on it was maintained ever 35-55k miles. With a transmission cooler and maintenance I've seen these trucks roll 350k+ miles on stock trannys...
Its still a gamble and I think I'm leaning towards a reman transmission.

That's a lot of HP but for that kind of money I'd rather have another Duramax. I'll just have to double the cash. Ha ha
