I picked up this Suburban today and got a really good deal on it. The problem is it might need a transmission. It has enough miles on it to suggest it at 231k+ miles. I also think that there is a chance that it can be fixed by replacing a drive solenoid or sensor. The burb drives fine for a moment or two and then starts revving to get it moving until every gear acts like it is neutral.

I've heard of this being a transfer case issue too but am leaning more towards a solenoid/sensor...

Anyways, here is the Burb. It's not too bad of a truck for the price.

 I live for wishful thinking. I got her for $500 so I should be OK with a new tranny.

When I owned it 12 years ago, I replaced the head unit with a $1200 factory factory CD & cassette player.

Wait! You've owned this suburban before? Sounds like someone else around here that purchases broken cars they used to own. :jester:

Though $500 for a 99 suburban is infinitely better than $2300 for a 94 Beretta.
