I hear you on the mileage. I know if I'm only getting 11-12mpg on a rebuilt 350, then the 454......

The cool thing about a 454(at least mine) was no matter if it was empty or loaded to the gills it still got 8-9 mpg....

If it was still in my possession and driveable I would,but it's totaled now and parked.The hard part is every time I go get the RV or do some work on it I see the '77.Man I had a lot of fun in that thing for the fifteen years I drove it.
