I've heard the same thing. I was suggesting LMC for the other stuff you mentioned, like the power steering bracket, steering column, and radio knobs. I'm sure a local parts store could get you the engine parts

Well the PS gearbox is $200, bed molding $129ea, taligate molding $44.95 upper rh/lh ea./center 34.95/lower 69.95/outer edge 34.95 and chrome steering column for $700-900. Lmc didnt have the rest.

I have to partially 3rd the notion of LMC having cheap sheet metal. I bought a fender from a guy and was told it was from them. The metal is thin and the edges are not nearly has nicely formed and bent as the factory. If I ever need body parts, I'm definitely gonna have to find a different source.

Well guys on the 67-72 ford forum recommended dennis carpenter for sheet metal. They said he's equivalent to factory/oem ones.

After investing on what engine this between a 390 or 352. Its a 390 after all. I well educated also on how to the FE engines apart too. From codes stamped on the 3rd crank journal to a half/full moon shaped flywheel sleeve.

I bought a used power steering automatic column for 3 conversions I'm doing while restoring this truck. Will getting the P/S steering box plus P/s box setup also and the power brake brackets too. I'm converting from 3 column shift to automatic, manual to power steering, and manual to power brakes.
