I'm only at 78K but I think this summer I may change out the brake fluid and PS fluid.

Also I got a free Belt awareness guage from these people. Just Liked their FB page. and sent them a msg.

Yeah Mark, I changed out my PS fluid back at 75k. I just liked them on FB too. I think I'll go with a gatorback on my truck. Heard great things about them.

I just called my mechanic @ 3pm & he said they are still working on it. He said a couple of them broke so it's taking them a little longer than expected. That is exactly why I wanted him to do it!

Re: 100,000 Mile Maintenance

2 nights at the mechanic (couldn't pick it up in time yesterday due to class) and 5 broken sparkplugs later she is out of the shop.

:ford: Really fucked up on these. The 5.4 3v are notorious for this. Some people break all 8 or break none and everything in between

I'm gonna do the fluids here soon. The rear end has a leak on the gasket I just found today. The rearend was humming on the way home :fume:

Something that really pissed me off is my mechanic's assistant (technican) decided it'd be alright to smoke cigarettes around my truck while working on it, in the bay. Well now my truck reeks of cigarettes :fume: :chipper: Oh well, John the owner apologized. All he really could do. He's been good to me for 3 years now not gonna burn a bridge just because of that

Really Really glad I went with him to do it! I wish I bought the plugs myself though. They cost $9.84 a piece on rockauto after discount. He charged me $16.16 per plug :( Oh well still worth the money to me

He said if they're gonna break they're gonna break. All these magic tricks the forums say don't always work.

His tech felt defeated, his worst so far was 4 broken. I beat that record

Atleast Ford mechanics have plenty of practice on removing broken plugs from heads.
