Cool! I noticed the Kentucky Derby is already May 1. Didn't it used to be on Memorial Day weekend....back in the day??

I honestly don't know. I've never actually watched a horse race... I know very little about horses.

I went to CES in Vegas and didn't gamble one dollar while I was there. Fwonk a bunch of plopping down my money in a game that is designed to keep 98% of the money that gets played.

We have a Racetrack/Casino here in town that races horses. We always say we're going to go and I've lived in the area for 9 years now but haven't made it.

This summer we'll go . . . but probably not bet on the horses!

I'd bank on folks who do that stuff knowing all of that. I would imagine that there is a ton of science involved just like anything else. I'm not terribly agricultural as you might guess.

Im just learning myself. Its been years since I have worked with equine. There is a science to it. If they do eat too much (carbohydrates) they can founder or become lame. Its when the bone in the hoof sinks to the bottom of the hoof or can rotate within the hoof.

No hoof, no horse.

It can occur in cattle too.

I was I had taken some Animal Science classes in college. But I was working on my Agronomy Minor, so all my tech electives were Agronomical in nature.
