Ah ok. Friend of mine has them on his truck. Not a bad tire. Should look good.

I wish I got some pictures of a customers car that I did a small demo on. It was a new Camaro, the wheels were badly swirling and mar'd. just by hand and about 30 secs of "trying" it on one spoke it knocked 60% of the damages out.

If you wanna try it by hand go this route...

if you wanna do it by machine (drill) try this...

http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-97-adams-swirl-haze-remover.aspx

http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-140-adams-fine-machine-car-polish.aspx

just be very careful when doing it with the drill. (18v or better)

watch this video...

Thanks for the info Jason!

Can I use a slower drill (I think mine might be 14v at the most)?

Ya, try one spoke at a time. as your working with one spoke, check to make sure its not hot, just warm. Dont be scared to apply pressure so you can "cut" into the clear.

I picked up some Mothers PowerMetal and some microfiber cloths. I just want to give it a try by hand and see what it looks like. Then maybe I'll give my orbital buffer a shot. We'll see how it goes.

But I know the proper way to fix them would be with a multi-step process and polishing.

WAIT!

Don't use metal polish on those wheels. That's paint clearcoat you are trying to polish. Metal polish will fWONk it up! I know it's an alloy wheel, but you re polishing paint. You need to use a standard automotive paint very light compound...

You have got to be fWONking kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :frustration: :suicide:

I just finished one wheel!!

How the hell do you get this stuff off? I've wiped it down with a wet microfiber cloth and then dried it. What should I use?

Anyways, I took a pic before washing it back off...or at least I hope.

Looks okay, bud. I think you are fine! It's just a clear coat, you can use regular car polish on it, like we were talking about earlier
