Well, it does look fine (even after wiping it back off as best I could). There are no additional scratches in it other than the ones that were already there. But I am going back to get some car polish tomorrow. I was only planning on doing the one rim tonight anyways.

I'm actually really surprised on how well it turned out with just my orbital.


I did notice some dirt in the corners of the openings (if you follow me). What should I do to get these areas clean? I tried just my finger with a T-shirt, but no dice. Would a Clay Bar do any good?

Once I get the dirt out, I'd like to try Mothers PowerBall that goes down to a tip like an inverted cone. Has anyone used this before?

You can just clean them with a brush and soap and water, no big.

I have never used a Powerball on coated wheels, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

I know this sounds really stupid, but I used a tooth brush on the 1st set I bought like this. I'm pretty sure it is what left all the small scratches on them.

What kind of brush are you talking about? This one?

That brush will be fine.

Any one of those automotive polishes will also be fine, really. You can hit up FazeOwl, too for his Adam's stuff.

That PowerCone is just like the ball, and it won't hurt them. Hell, your buffer looks like it might work, too!

Yeah, I use that Mothers's stuff on my Tahoe's aluminum Alcoas, works GREAT for those!

In that case, I'll go with some Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish to start, and then some Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax to protect it all; along with the brush to clean out the corners.

I wish I got some pictures of a customers car that I did a small demo on. It was a new Camaro, the wheels were badly swirling and mar'd. just by hand and about 30 secs of "trying" it on one spoke it knocked 60% of the damages out.

I've spent some where around 4-5hrs on the rims today. I'm starting to wax them now.

Quick question on the waxing:
I just wipe it on, let it dry, and wipe it off right?

The polish made them feel pretty smooth so it's hard to tell a difference.

I'd try some Adam's products since they are a sponsor on here. I can get you a quote on Mothers since we carry their line but I'd try Adams first.
