That picture was just for an offset reference.
The suspension on this car will eventually get a full workover (in a few years), and I just don't see the point in spending money on a temporary setup. These cars handle amazing at stock height, and there's no cheap way to lower them without...
The badge? It's pinned. :( The one on the other side isn't, and will be coming off soon.
And they make clear markers, but I think they look like shit on the rear. I've considered getting them for the front, I just haven't gotten around to it.
That's the plan, as it gets twice the gas mileage as the truck. No black wheels though, the truck will be the only one to get those. I want this to just be a simple, clean vehicle. Simple works better for something that's not supposed to be a money pit.
And Colin's got a job now...
Carl's 4/7.
I'm at about 1/4 height from a GMT800 2wd, which is definitely lower than a 2/4 on a GMT900, and I didn't have any height related problems this winter even in 2wd (only shitty-tire related problems ).
I think you'll be more than fine at 3/5.
Got home from school this afternoon, and had funparts waiting for me.
Flyin' Miata front sway bar and OEM rubber shift boots to replace the torn-to-shreds originals:
Oh, but what's that box over there?
Oh haaayyy!
Mmmmm...
It's going to be a good...
Yes, I believe it's paid for (can't imagine it's not, it's a cheap car that she's had a while).
I'd do the work for the cost of pizza/beer/gas, so labor really isn't an issue at all.
Hell, I could even buy the car off her, replace the engine, and sell it if she doesn't want to fix it.
Ok, I need some input from you guys.
My friend just had her 2000 Tiburon overheat on the highway, and the engine is toast according to the shop it's sitting at (I haven't seen the car, I still want to take a look at it and see what's up).
She's going to buy a new car this summer anyway...
I really never realized how damn loud the truck was until I bought the Miata. It's not so bad on the highway, but DAMN is it loud under normal acceleration, especially when cold. I'm over the whole "look at me, I'm loud" thing, I'd go with an OEM muffler if they weren't restrictive.
Actually, the reason I decided to buy wheels at all was that I plan on buying good summer tires (once I start working and get some money saved up, I've depleted my savings as much as I want to at the moment).
I went with 14s just because of weight. Pretty much every 15" wheel was significantly...
