OK, so it IS a rheostat / potentiometer... You are right, it will have to be calibrated by using the TECH 2... Hope you are still under warranty... :dunno: The caddy still uses the old fashioned switch.

OK... After reading that, it looks like I might be wrong. Your sensor may be more like a rheostat than just a brake light switch.

I think that if you get under the dash and look at the brake switch... it IS adjustable. Loosen the nut closest to the brake pedal and tighten the other nut about one full turn, then tighten the first nut. Now see if your brake lights work as they should.

It probably is NOT the starter... it's probably the solenoid... That's real common on the big blocks... especially is someone has left off the heat shield that keeps exhaust heat away from it.

The codes are 2 digit codes. For instance...It will blink 2 times, pause and then blink 3 times. That would be code 23...
