New update got the balancer and timing chain cover off so hopefully tomorrow i will be able to get the crank out and check the main bearings and take some pics

My truck used to be white till some one primed it no its got a redneck paint cause it was starting to rust in some spots so now its green becuase that was what wal-mart had the most of :lol:

NO no i didn't connect anything yet just checked the clearences because i was bored and haven't pulled the balancer yet so i got the standard size and check all of them so that way i had a jump on putting it back together the rods were checked then taken off the crank

Yup i should be doing the main bearings next just to lazy to get that far. Still need to take the balancer off and don't have a puller should have borrowed one from Oreillys autoparts but didn't think of it till i got home :dunno: had a brain fart :lol:

Update time got some new rod bearings standard size and plasti gauged all eight all of rods specs were .002 with the new bearings

what would you use to clean up the headlights my suck really yellowing bad i have the composite head lamps on my 91 chevy

I never had that problem with my system i used to have i guess it would depende on the size you have

If any one is having stereo power problems as in big amps you need a capasitor to store un used power then when the sups hit it wont draw from the battery

Ok guys getting my heads back today But i still haven't got around to checking the Rod and Main bearings maybe this weekend and i still need a water pump and gaskets and a few other odds and ends I will take pics and have them up tomorrow

That is true. On the the lawnmower i didn't actually blow it up my brother in law did it was old anyways but he fried the rings so i just decided to get a new one

its going slow at the moment i did drop the head off with burt they are done he just checked them out and buffed them up he said they didn't look bad enough to put in the tank i should be getting the bearings and gaskets on the first part of april but the build on hold for the moment had jump on...

i haven't checked yet but it should bolt to your TBI throttle body and for the heads i am not planning on changing anything just getting them clean i am using the whole vortec long block so the heads are from the same engine if you have any other questions pm me

If i have been playing around In the mud or something I usually give my truck a blast from the pressure washer but usually i just clean the windows and let the rain do the rest
