no better than 12????
my buddies 02 gets atleast 17 all around and up to 19-20 on the highway.
hes got the I6 and 5 sp. 3in coil lift and highline kit running 37" MTRs
37s really help crawling...so does front and rear selectable lockers but added ground clearance and extra squish at 8psi...
my buddy has one. its a POS..but kinda goofy to drive
4 cylinders of pure slowness
he plans on putting a N/A LS1 in it and having a beefier transaxle to handle the power. it will have twice the cylinders and probably 5 times the power.
Re: Looking at Toyota Tacoma trucks.
my brother has a 05 taco, extended cab, TRD off road package, 2wd, V6 and 6sp. he claims to get better mpg with 91 than 87...I tried it, for a couple tanks I ran 91 and got consistantly ~17-18. with 87 for a couple tanks and pulling a 16ft flat bed...
they say it sits really low compared to the dodge...but give the raptor a nice lo-pro bumper and skid and crank the coil over, from the factory its on its lowest level, the 3rd level makes its like 2-3in higher. simple fix and would do a lot better.
I thought about it. was thinking about running them on my next set. just to try them out and see how they do. if they dont do so well after 90.....good cuz I dont need my truck goin that fast lol 80 would be fine.
Ive heard theyre good and theyre bad soooo it will be worth the try.
Truck looks really clean, with the lower it looks a lot better. Did you have an improvement in mpgs when you put on the cap?
My gf's parents live in g-town you go there much? Best mpgs i could get going there with her in my truck was 13 all highway :(
And boom goes the dynamite.
I believe it. I knew a guy who took his golf TDI from texas to cali for a summer and back, all he has done to it was a bigger turbo and custom tunes and lowered slightly. got around 80-90 mpg
Re: Sh**'s ab**t t* g*t r*al
I like it! I may be in your area this summer on a weekend;s trip. I heard thru the grapevine your truck sounds like a jet....I want a ride!
I had some cheap roof rack bars on my roof, for a test run I brought her up to 90 on the service road and it howled like crazy!!! so I took em off...cant wait for my yakima mounts. they will be more solid, hopefully they wont be as loud. then ill mount my roof rack on it. other than...
I looked on craigslist and found a harley engine for sale...400 bucks... I thought id be a great idea...but on a bike it would do the same as that belt shaker thing rich people would use back in the day to lose weigh
I can weld and Ive got a buddy in welding school who can weld 2 aluminum cans together so that wont be a problem. I just watched some vids and your kit didnt seem to get 5 stars all around.....
well as soon as you get it fixed can you get a video of it running and being driven? I wanna know how loud it is. I am really considering getting an engine and putting it on my bike to ride to my engineering buillding 5 miles away.
damn those times are pretty good...well compared to my truck. I run the 1/8th at 10.3 @66mph, thats with a can tune though. since Im going to stay NA for a while I may go to a gryphon and custom tunes. nice job
