As far as I know putting HIDs in vehicles that did have them installed at the factory is illegal, even with proper HID projectors. I just took my truck to get my yearly inspection and they failed me for having my tint too dark, but passed my retro-fitted headlights.

Looks like we may have gotten an inch over night, but it's switched over to freezing rain. Should make the drive in a little more interesting than normal.

Both my parents have driven my truck, my dad more than my mom though. They borrow it every now and again, usually during the Spring to go to Lowes and get some flowers, mulch, etc or in the Fall to get pine straw. My wife has driven it once or twice, but doesn't like it because it's "too big"...

Oh yeah, loads of fun. I was supposed to head over to Chapel Hill to do some field work, but I didn't feel like trudging 2 miles along a rail line in the rain. I'll head out there tomorrow.

Is the 'click' coming from the siren itself? I'm not really sure what that would be.... I'm assuming your truck is off when this is happening right?

Does it constantly click when armed? What system do you have?

X2. My parents even put me behind the wheel when we took a summer vacation from MI to NC so I could get some time out on the highways too. If we had to go anywhere that year I had my permit, 95% of the time I was the one driving.

He didn't say that at all. However, many States have in fact raised the minimum age to get a DL. When I turned 16 (1996) I walked into the DMV and left with my license that had no more restrictions than the one I have now. A couple years later the State moved to a graduated license program...
