Yeah I crawled under there today. It looks like I have 2 new upstream and one new downstream. I just ordered one downstream (which I know I need at least 1) and hopefully that'll complete the set. If not, already having the 2 is better then none.
Gotchya. Thanks.
So that should mean the plugs SHOULD be different and not fit right? I guess I'll get back under the truck and see if I tell a diff and then order 2 of the appropriate. :D
I have a seemingly stupid question. I was given 3 brand new (still in the bags) 02 sensors for my truck. Based on various auto parts stores some have different part #s and some say they are the same (for the up and down stream).
Are they? and I only need to order one(for a complete set) or will...
Thanks John. I don't really know about marking compound. When I pull the cover in 1,000 miles (or in a month) if I see to much crap on the magnet I'll re consider what to do.
That's what I was thinking and I have the gasket and the black RTV. I think together they're $10 plus the $45 for fluid. Like we said MUCH cheaper then a new rear end.
The total mileage is little over 200,000. If I recall I think the PO said it had to be re geared twice to get the backlash or something right. I first drained the gear oil at about 160,000 (shortly after I got the truck). So now aprox. 40,000 miles later.
Hard saying if anyone bothered to...
I drained the oil and removed the rear differential cover on my 2002 Chevy 10 bolt rear end. This is the second time I am changing the oil in the 3 plus years I owned it but, the first time pulling the cover. I found a blob of nasty grease on the magnet. Is this synthetic gear lube or axle...
Your guess is as good as mine. As I said in my other thread, my friend got them of Craig's list and when I search I also come up with the standard look. My luck they did go out of business though.:frustration:
As I posted in "General Truck Accessories" I'm looking for this specific tail light gaurd style.
Not overly worried about the surface condition or color as I'll be painting them black.
Even if you don't have any but, find a ink or know some one who bought them new and can put me in touch...
I do like the looks (black though. I've gotten WAY to anal to absorb my time in keeping a bunch of chrome clean.)I guess if I get to a point where they're getting ripped off I'm going to be more pissed about what the rest of the truck had done to it. :fume:
That pretty much sums it up.
I got the brush/bumper guard with the truck. I invested about $300 between paint and the mounting hardware. Otherwise I wouldn't even have any of it on the truck. It does give it an aggressive look but, for now it won't see off road 'til I can afford to fix...
No not INTENTIONALLY.:ohnoes: I want them for looks also. Dress up the back of the truck to match the Warn Trans4mer I'm altering in the front. :D
I need some help from the masses. I have been looking at tail light brush guards and this is all I can find.
HOWEVER my friend has these which is what I want.
I like the profile of the guard that traces the outline of the individual light sections.
I have a 2002 Silverado...
I agree daddy on the decals. He has that exact Z-71 in his system. (I only have it as a reference I know it's kinda crappy).
As for the font I have the font file he can install in his MS Word (and told him that) so he is basically printing identical decals he has and charging me about $9 a...
Looking for an online (or brick and mortar that ships) tint/vinyl shop that can make this custom tint for my rear window (I understand I would need to get an un tinted one first):
and a pair of these:
I will be doing more research locally and online but, the one local shop that I...
